On March 19, within the framework of the project “Pushkin’s card”, the staff of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve held an interactive event “Bolgar is the keeper of folk traditions” for 30 students of Bolgar secondary school No. 1. The participants of the event were presented with various craft master classes: pottery, leather mosaic, wood burning and making amulets with the image of runic symbols. At the gastronomic master class on the preparation of special tea “in Bolgar style”, the children learned how to compose properly a fragrant collection of herbs, flowers and berries.
For fun were presented medieval board games “Alquerque” and “Mill”, as well as the game “Journey to the Past”, with the help of which the children were able to walk along the streets of the ancient city, to get acquainted with its artifacts.
