On March 18, a methodologist of the department “Museum Street” of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova L. Sh. held an interactive event “Scientist-educator Kayum Nasiri” dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Tatar scientist, theologian, thinker and teacher-reformer.
During the event, the students got acquainted with the life and work of Kayum Nasiri. With great interest, they viewed the exhibition timed to the 200th anniversary of the scientist’s birth. Besides, they learned about his works, saw calendars created by K. Nasiri, and knew that he introduced the term “calendar” for the Tatars.
Special attention was paid to an excerpt from the story “Avicenna”. Pupils also familiarized themselves with the exhibition of books published in the last century.
At the end of the event, children heard instructions from K. Nasiri’s work “The Book of Education”, which contains 113 instructions.
The event was attended by 22 schoolchildren.
