On February 19, 2025, the head of the exhibition complex “Memorial sign” of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Salimova G.I. held for the students of Bolgar cadet boarding school an event “Honor and glory to the defenders” dedicated to the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland.
Every year on February 23, we all celebrate the holiday – Defender of the Fatherland Day. This is an opportunity to remind the children once again what bravery, nobility and courage are.
The meeting began with a story about the history of the Defender of the Fatherland Day. Then the schoolchildren divided into teams “Blue Berets” and “Border Guards”, competed in contests, showing their wit, agility and courage. Boys competed in the knowledge of the history of the Russian army, remembered the heroic defenders of the Motherland. Girls congratulated their classmates with the approaching holiday. Also for the children was organized a tour of the museum and exhibition complex “Memorial sign in honor of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgars in 922”.
Sixteen people attended the event.
