On February 19, 2025, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Rogachyova M.N. in the museum “Bolgar tea party” held for 10 students of Bolgar boarding school for children with disabilities an informational and entertaining event “Visiting the samovar”.
Tea drinking in Russia has always characterized kindness, hospitality, which is inherent in the culture of the Russian and Tatar people and is a feature of their character. The museum “Bolgar tea party” presents a rich exhibition of samovars of the period of XIX-XX centuries, objects and archaeological finds that accompanied tea-drinking traditions of the peoples of the Volga region in the distant times.
At the event, children learned a lot of interesting things about tea drinking traditions in Russia, became acquainted with the large collection of samovars of the museum, heard old Russian and Tatar proverbs about tea drinking, actively guessed riddles, studied the samovar device in a game form. At the end of the event, everyone drank fragrant tea with traditional treats of Russian and Tatar people with great pleasure. For many children it was the first acquaintance with the museum, and all of them wanted to come to other museums of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve.
