On February 13, 2025, within the framework of the project “Pushkin’s card” employees of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve held an interactive event “Bolgar is the keeper of folk traditions” for the students of Spassky College of Sectoral Technologies.
The participants of the event had various craft master classes. Everyone could try his or her hand at pottery, leather mosaic and wood burning. The children were especially interested in making amulets with runic symbols. Drawing in Ebru technique allowed to create small masterpieces with unique ornaments. There was a gastronomic master class on the preparation of special Bolgar tea where everyone learned how to compose properly a fragrant collection of herbs, flowers and berries.
For fun were presented medieval board games “Alquerque” and “Mill”, as well as a new game “Journey to the Past”, with which the students were able to walk the streets of the ancient city, to get acquainted with its artifacts.
Twenty-four people attended the event.
