On February 14, 2025, the head of the local history department of the museum of history of the city “Suvar” Sadrieva N.M. held a lesson of courage “Afghanistan, you are my pain!” in Kuznechiha school.
February 15, 2025 is the 36th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. According to various estimates, during the armed conflict the losses of the Soviet side amounted to about 15 thousand people.
N.M. Sadrieva told about the reasons for the Soviet troops’ deployment to Afghanistan, about the participation of former graduates of different years of Kuznechiha school in the performance of international duty in the Armed Forces of the USSR. They fulfilled their international duty with dignity, performed feats for which they were awarded.
Sadrieva N.M. collected a lot of material about the inhabitants of the village Kuznechiha who fulfilled military duty in Afghanistan. She traced their combat path, found relatives of former soldiers-internationalists and recorded their stories about the soldiers. She also collected photos, information about awarding and further destiny. Photos, copies of award documents were shown on the screen.
Today we pay tribute to the memory and respect to our fellow countrymen who bravely and selflessly fought outside the Fatherland. Fulfilling their military duty, they became for each of us an example of devotion to the Fatherland. We mourn those who have not returned. The memory of them will always remain in our hearts.
