On January 24, 2025, in the Bolgar Museum-Reserve took place the opening of the exhibition “A beautiful time of studentship” dedicated to the Russian Student Day, which is marked annually on January 25.
Student’s Day – Tatiana’s Day is celebrated by all students of specialized secondary and higher educational institutions. The history of the holiday is quite interesting. Initially, January 25 was an exclusively Christian holiday – the day of memory of the Great Martyr Tatiana of Rome, and it becomes secular since 1755 because on this date was opened the first university in Russia – Moscow State University.
Schoolchildren and teachers from the village of Yambuhtino (20 people) were the guests of the exhibition opening. The children became acquainted with the history of the holiday, learned about the traditions and omens of students, looked at the exhibits from the funds of the museum-reserve.
The exhibition will continue to work until February 20, 2025.
