On January 12, 2025, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Usmanova D.O. held an event “The poetic heritage of Kol Gali” for four students of Bolgar secondary school №2.
Kol Gali is an outstanding poet, thinker, well-educated person, with whose name is connected the whole history of Turkic literature. At the event, the children became acquainted with the biography of this great medieval poet, as well as with his literary work. One of the great masterpieces of literature of Kol Gali is his poem “Kyissa-i-Yusuf”. Children learned about the peculiarities of this poem and the historical conditions in which it was written, as well as its importance in the history of Turkic literature.
At the end of the event, a master class on making a shamail was conducted for the pupils. The children got much happiness from the event.
