On January 6, 2025, in the Bolgar Museum-Reserve took place the opening of the exhibition “Christmas Stories”.
The Museum of Bulgarian Civilization presents a temporary exhibition dedicated to Christmas. It includes Christmas cards from the beginning of the last century and Soviet Christmas cards. The exhibition is complemented by exhibits from the funds of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve – clocks, fireplace, Christmas tree, Christmas crèche and other attributes associated with the symbolism of the holiday.
At the opening of the exhibition were guests from the Moscow region who learned the history of the Christmas holiday and got acquainted with the history of the open letter, which for a long time was an integral part of holiday greetings and has survived to this day.
The exhibition “Christmas Stories” will continue its work until January 15, 2025.
