On 18 August 2024, on the territory of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve the festival ‘Spiritual Unity of Russia – a message to the world’ ended.
From 16 to 18 August, at the ethno-cultural festival ‘Aga Bazar’ masters of folk arts and crafts presented their products and held master classes on painting ceramics, felting, calligraphy, ‘Author’s postcard’, ‘National doll’.
On 16 August, the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization hosted the opening of the exhibition of Arabic calligraphy.
The round table ‘Preservation and development of ethno-cultural heritage: tradition, fashion and design’ and the premiere of the animation series ‘Legends of Bolgar’ took place in the museum and exhibition complex ‘Memorial Sign in honor of adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgars in 922’.
The festival included performances of the ethno-music collective ‘Kadim Almet’ (Almetyevsk), the performance of the Honored Artist of Russia, poet Vlad Malenko (Moscow), the group ‘Otyken’ (Krasnoyarsk), the State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan under the direction of Milyausha Tamindarova, the folk group ‘Zakaria’ (Kazan), the children’s collective ‘Adymnar-Kazan’, the experimental music project ‘ABIEM Project’.
A festival of folk games – UEN FEST – was organized for young participants. The guests could join the military arts of the middle ages and test their marksmanship in archery.
On the site of the museum ‘Bolgar Tea Party’, the guests tasted hot pancakes from the oven with aromatic Bolgar tea.
Traditionally, an open-air opera ‘Kara Pulat’ was performed against the background of the Black Chamber – a unique monument of Golden Horde architecture of XIV century.
