On 5 July 2024, at the exhibition area of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization took place the opening of the exhibition “Everything starts with the family” dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.
The Day of Family, Love and Fidelity is marked annually on 8 July. The date was chosen not by chance, as earlier on this day, Saints Peter and Fevronia of Murom were honored because they inspired Orthodox believers to create a family holiday.
The exhibition presents items – family relics from the funds of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve. Family relics are objects especially honored and kept as a memory of the past. They help to understand that human life is endless if descendants remember it, allow us to touch the history of the family and feel that it is close to us, that it affects our lives and influences everything that is happening today.
Eleven guests of the museum-reserve attended the exhibition opening.
