On 30 June 2024, the museum staff and specialists of the Budgetary cultural institution of the Udmurt Republic “Architectural and ethnographic museum-reserve “Ludorvai” visited the Bolgar Museum-Reserve to exchange experience in the framework of inter-museum cooperation and to obtain useful information. The staff of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve organized an extensive excursion program for the guests. Under the guidance of G. M. Zarifullina, head of the department of museum funds accounting, the colleagues got acquainted with the exposition of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, the museum and exhibition complex “Memorial sign in honor of adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgars in 922” and enjoyed the views of architectural monuments of XIII-XIV centuries. In the museum “Bolgar Tea Party”, the guests became acquainted with the traditions of tea drinking of the Volga region peoples, tasted fragrant pancakes with tea on herbs. They also visited the historical and ethnographic complex “Museum of Bread” and the White Mosque.
Later, a seminar on “From the experience of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve” was held where numerous questions were answered and a wish for further fruitful co-operation and strengthening of friendly relations between the two museum-reserves was expressed. Such meetings on exchange of experience with colleagues are very important and useful, as it gives an incentive for further development of the museum business.
