Participants of the “Tarhan” historical and cultural contest visited the museum-reserve as part of the new tourist route “In the Footsteps of Caravans”. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan together with Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University and TNV Television-Radio Company held the third season of the historical and cultural contest “Tarhan”.
The Ministry provided the winners of the Contest with a gift of a visit to museum-reserves as part of the new tourist route “In the Footsteps of Caravans”, which unites the ancient cities of Chistopol, Bilyar and Bolgar reflecting the history of Volga Bulgaria.
On 29-30 June, six finalists, accompanied by their parents and teachers, visited the Bolgar Museum-Reserve as part of a two-day tour. An excursion to the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization and the Quran Museum was organized for them, and the children enjoyed a walk around the territory of the archaeological complex, seeing the sights, climbing the minarets and admiring the natural landscape of the historical site. After visiting the White Mosque, the participants met with the director of the museum-reserve R. R. Ziganshin and received memorable gifts.
