On June 14, 2024, at the exhibition area of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization was held the opening of the exhibition of Tatar national musical instruments “They give birth to a melody”.
The main task of the exhibition is to show the originality and unity of folk cultures of our country through traditional music. Any folk musical instrument is a part of the history of ethnos. It is able to reveal the specifics of manners and customs, tell a lot about the culture of its people.
The exhibition was based on handmade musical instruments from the funds of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve – dumbra and kyl-kubyz made by master Jalil Vildanov from the village of Kurkachi, Vysokogorsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The opening ceremony was attended by 23 tourists from Ulyanovsk and Samara. The event was accompanied by the melody of kurai, the national Tatar musical instrument, played by Akhmad Latypov, a student of the Children’s Music School of Kazan.
The exhibition will continue until October 29, 2024.
