On June 11, 2024, the employees of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization Kamayeva T.P. and Salnikova V.A. on the eve of the Day of Russia held an information and entertainment event “Together we are a great power, together we are the country Russia!” for 18 children of the school camp on the basis of Bolgar secondary school No. 1.
12 June is a significant date for Russia. On this day, the whole country celebrates the Independence Day of Russia. This is one of the youngest holidays of state importance. In 1994, the declaration of state sovereignty of Russia was adopted. Somewhat later, the Independence Day of Russia turned simply into the Day of Russia. Russia Day is a symbol of national unity and common responsibility for the present and future of the Motherland. Every country in the world has its own symbols that reflect the history of the people. This is the coat of arms, flag and anthem. Each state has its own Constitution, its own president. The main city of the country is the capital.
Information about the holiday and the state symbols of Russia was presented to the children in an accessible form in order to form a respectful attitude to them, to foster a sense of love for their homeland, a sense of involvement in the life of their native country. The children actively participated in the conversation about Russia, named the colors of the Russian flag, learned what each color means, what is depicted on the coat of arms of Russia, what the double-headed eagle and Saint George the Victorious Bearer mean. The coat of arms of Russia symbolizes beauty and justice, the victory of good over evil. The national anthem is also a state symbol, which is sung on special, solemn occasions. When the anthem sounds, everyone stands up, it is forbidden to talk, and military men salute with weapons, thus showing respect for the anthem and their country.
In the entertaining part of the event, the children showed their agility, wit, quickness and skill, participating in fun contests, quizzes and games. Friendship won as always! All participants of the meeting received sweet prizes.
