On 16 May 2024, as part of the Year of the Family in Russia, the event “Young tour guide” of the national project “Children – to children” was held. Young pupils of the 6th grade of Bolgar secondary school № 2 became participants of an unusual excursion, which was conducted by their own classmate. Zahar Monahov was trained within the framework of the new project for half a year, he listened to the course on the methodology of excursions, successfully mastered the text of lectures on the exposition of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, as well as the Museum of the Koran and information about the monuments of the Bulgar settlement.
During the excursion, the children became acquainted with the exposition of the 4th floor of the museum where the guide told them in detail about the medieval city of Bolgar and its development in certain periods. The interesting story was accompanied by the comments of the curator of this project – a researcher of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Musina G.M. The schoolchildren were involved in the fascinating world of the ancient city, were interested in many facts and shared their own knowledge. At the same time, the young guide was able to act as a guide for his peers in the world of history.
