On 6 May 2024, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Hramov D.P. held an information lesson “The Great Victory of the Great People” for 29 students of the 6th grade of Bolgar secondary school No.1.
The tragic time is getting further away from us when our Fatherland was tormented by war, when life and death every day, every hour were close to us, when Soviet people despite all deprivations and hardships did an incredible thing – won the victory over Nazi Germany. The Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 claimed more than 27 million human lives. 13311 people from our Spassky district went to the front. 6245 people returned from the war. 4027 people died, forever remaining soldiers of the Great Patriotic War. There were 3039 people missing in action. During the war years, more than 225 natives of the republic received the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Among them are five of our compatriots.
During the lesson, the pupils learnt about the glorious pages of the feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and about the heroes of our district, thanks to whom we live now. The children watched a presentation with the main stages of the war. The conclusion was made: the war of 1941-1945 became the Great Patriotic War for the Soviet people; people united in the face of the threat of enslavement and destruction. The heroism and courage of soldiers and commanders of the Red Army and the unparalleled labor feat of all workers on the home front were the sources of victory.
