On 4 May 2024, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Usmanova D.O. held a museum lesson “Jewelry of the Volga Bulgars” for 21 schoolchildren from the city of Kazan.
On 31 January, the worldwide professional holiday – International Jeweler’s Day – is celebrated by masters who make life more beautiful. During the event, children learned a lot of information about the jewelry art of the Volga Bulgars, about the technique of gold refining. Schoolchildren in the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization became acquainted with the exposition, saw archaeological finds from the Bolgar settlement revealing the theme of jewelry craft, collections of unique jewellery, learned about different ways and forms of work of masters-jewelers. The children were left with indelible impressions and souvenirs to remember.
