On 26 April 2024, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Salimova G.I. held an event on “I speak Tatar” timed to the birthday of Gabdulla Tukay for the students of the 4th grades of Bolgar secondary school No. 1.
We live in Tatarstan with our own traditions and receive information in two languages. From year to year, the “I speak Tatar” event develops. This event is a real holiday for the Tatar people. It can take place not only in the form of a concert on stage or a poetry reading, but also in the form of a competition among schoolchildren. Kids listened attentively to the biography of the poet, and with interest tried to read Tukay’s poems in Tatar and Russian. The class had a great educational and developmental value.
The event was attended by 12 people.
