On 19 April 2024, an employee of the department “Museum Street” of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova L. Sh. held an interactive museum lesson “The fascinating world of fish” for the pupils of the 4th grade of Bolgar secondary school No.1 in the museum “Town on the River”.
The objectives of the museum lesson were to instill interest in living nature and broaden children’s horizons.
At the lesson, children learnt what fish are found in the rivers Volga, Kama and in ponds, in lakes; what lakes we have in the town. Kids learnt which fish are named after tools (sawfish, axe fish, needlefish, razor fish, etc.); which fish are named after land animals (seacock, moth fish, sea dog, sea horse). Children heard interesting facts about belugas and under what circumstances they got into the Volga and Kama rivers. Pupils got acquainted with the exposition located in the outbuilding.
There were 14 people at the event.
