On 17 April 2024, within the framework of the project “Pushkin’s card” the staff of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve held a field interactive event on “Golden pages of the history of Spassky uyezd” for the schoolchildren of Staromainsky district of Ulyanovsk region.
The children became acquainted with the life of the uyezd town of Spassk in the epoch of the 18th-19th centuries. Heroes of the theatrical program: Peter I, Catherine II, the Town Mayor and a noblewoman in thematic costumes highlighted the most striking historical events in the life of the uyezd and the town. There were also presented elements of popular ballroom dances of that time, round dance and parlor games: bingo and cards. The children were introduced to various kinds of needlework: wool spinning, weaving, basket weaving. There were master-classes on making dolls-amulets and painting gingerbread with protein glaze. Pupils had a great pleasure to go round dancing, play board games and take part in master-classes.
The event was attended by 60 people.
