On February 29, 2024, for 18 students of the 3rd grade of Bolgar secondary school No. 1 an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Rogachyova M. N. held an interactive museum lesson “Bolgar is the city of masters” in order to expand the historical knowledge of children, to develop their interest in the history of the native land.
In the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, the pupils learned about the history of the city of Bolgar, about the crafts developed in the ancient city. Children became acquainted with the archaeological finds discovered during the study of the city, saw a great variety of products, working tools of Bolgar artisans and learned about their purpose and application. In the course of the event, everyone was interested in performing the proposed tasks and answering the questions. At the end of the lesson, children themselves became “masters-artists” and with great pleasure were engaged in painting a symbolic coin with the image of Bulgar locks in the form of animals. Schoolchildren like such museum lessons very much. They remain in children’s memory for a long time, because kids discover many new and interesting things that are directly related to their small homeland.
