The opening of the exhibition “Soviet life” took place on 21 February 2024. This exhibition is about household appliances that were used in every home in the Soviet Union. The visitors’ attention was drawn to household items that were used to “build” people’s everyday life and leisure time in the Soviet time – from a Zinger sewing machine to a TV set. Once these items surrounded us and seemed commonplace, but now they have become museum exhibits. The exhibition presents the latest technological achievements and shows how the appearance of devices changed as their capabilities grew.
Rare household items from the Soviet period are presented from the funds of the museum-reserve.
The event was attended by 17 students of Bolgar Children’s School of Arts.
