On 7 February 2024, as part of the project “Pushkin’s card”, the staff of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve held an interactive event on “Medieval Bolgar” for the students of Nikolskaya secondary school of Spassky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The participants of this program became acquainted with the history and life of the ancient city of Bolgar in an interactive form.
The historical film “Essays on the journey of Ahmed Ibn-Fadlan” allowed the students to repeat the path of the famous Baghdad embassy and its secretary, taking a fascinating walk through the streets of the ancient city of Bolgar in virtual reality glasses.
In the course of the lesson, the children compared the characteristics and features of straight simple and compound bows of the Turkic type, were able to join the military arts of the middle ages, to test their marksmanship in archery. Pupils played the ancient board game Cornhole with great pleasure.
The event was attended by 23 people.
