On 13 January 2024, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sabirzyanova L.I. for seven guests of the reserve held an interactive and informative event on “Preserved paths” timed to coincide with the Day of Reserves and National Parks.
There are very few places left on Earth that have not been touched by the human hand. People realize that their impact on the planet is becoming more and more destructive from year to year. In order to preserve the Earth for future generations, its flora and fauna, numerous parks and protected areas are being created. Nature has been subjected to pollution for hundreds of years, but it was only in 1997 that serious thought was given to this issue. It was then, on 11 January, that the Day of Reserves and National Parks was established on the initiative of the Wildlife Conservation Centre and the World Wildlife Fund.
During the event, the guests learnt about the history of the holiday and specially protected natural areas of Russia. The tourists visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization where they became acquainted with the exposition of the museum, learned about the emergence and development of the museum-reserve, about research and archaeological excavations carried out on the territory of the reserve. The guests also visited the Museum of Koran and saw the preserved architectural monuments.
