The guests of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve spent the first days of the New Year 2024 in an unforgettable and useful way. On January 2-6, they were welcomed with four master classes, entertainment program, excursions to the expositions and new exhibitions. At the tourist information centre, Father Frost and Snow Maiden greeted the guests with a theatrical performance “Meeting at the Christmas tree”. Under the rousing New Year rhythms, they held contests, games and riddles. Both adults and children read New Year’s poems, sang New Year’s songs and, according to tradition, made a round dance around the Christmas tree. At the gastronomic site “Bolgar tea”, guests were treated to aromatic pancakes baked in the oven and traditional herbal tea. The Museum of Bulgarian Civilization presented an interactive platform “Khanbike’s New Year’s workshop” with master classes on pottery, vine weaving, making a doll and a New Year’s toy. With the help of our skillful artisans, everyone could make a unique souvenir for themselves and their loved ones, and medieval board games were presented for those who like entertainment.
These days the Bolgar Museum-Reserve welcomed guests from different parts of Russia. Children and adults were able to plunge into the world of New Year’s fairy tale and festive atmosphere of magic, giving themselves a wonderful mood.
