On 7 December 2023, in the creative studio “Territory of possibilities” and in craft workshops “Bulgar masters” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve were held classes for 12 6th grade students of Bolgar boarding school for children with disabilities and Bolgar secondary school No. 1. The event was conducted within the framework of the project “Bolgar for everybody” implemented with funds from the TATNEFT Charitable Foundation.
On this day, four classes were held according to the plan. In the wood carving workshop, children learnt to work with various tools: they sawed animal figures with a jigsaw and assembled bird feeders. In the pottery workshop, children continued to master molding dishes on the potter’s wheel. There were classes on sewing and needlework. This time the young masters had to sew a small pillow. One of the girls decided to decorate it with embroidery. The work will be finished at the next lesson.
The children’s favorite sand painting classes also continued. Emotionally resting and relaxing, they drew on the theme “Winter has come”.
Schoolchildren like to create something with their own hands, helping each other, and they are very happy when they get a finished product. Kids come to the workshops and studio with great pleasure, where they always find something to their liking, learn something new, and most importantly – friendly communication and mutual support.
