On June 20, 2023, an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Glavnova V.N. held an event dedicated to the day of the beginning of Great Patriotic War “That very first day of the war” for 11 pupils of the school camp of Bolgar secondary school № 1.
The people of the Soviet Union in 1941-1945 stood in mortal combat with the terrible enemy – Hitler’s Germany. Not only the freedom, but also the lives of the Soviet population depended on the outcome of this confrontation. The war cost the Soviet citizens multimillion losses, for this reason Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War for many years is deservedly the key holiday of Russia and the entire post-Soviet space.
Victory Day does not have a long history, but it was and still is a sacred holiday for the descendants of those who defeated Nazi Germany. It is hard to find someone whose family was spared by the Great Patriotic War.
During the informative and educational event, pupils were told about heroism of our people, about pride for our army and gratitude to the veterans for our unclouded childhood, about respect for the memory of military events and those who died in the war for the freedom of our Motherland. Students participated in a literary quiz, sang songs and recited poems about the war.
