On June 5, 2023, an employee of the museum-educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sabirzyanova L.I. held for tourists an event on “Native reserved places”.
At the event, the guests learned about the World Environment Day established by the UN and celebrated annually on June 5. The holiday was proclaimed in 1972 at the 27th session of the UN General Assembly.
On the same day, Russian ecologists celebrate their professional holiday. The Day of Ecologist is the holiday of specialists who carry out environmental activities.
The tourists visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization where they learned the history of Volga Bulgaria, had a walk around the town and saw the preserved architectural monuments.
During the event, they touched upon the global problems of humankind that lead to the destruction and pollution of the environment. The guests learned about environmental protection and rules of behavior in nature, about rare and endangered animals and plants included in the “Red Book of Russia”.
The event was attended by 19 people.
