On May 6, Bolgar Museum-Reserve traditionally held the opening of the tourist season 2023. On this day, excursion programs with visits to museums and architectural monuments of XIII-XIV centuries were organized for guests.
At the interactive platform of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, a market keeper in national costume welcomed the guests of Great Bolgar. Artisans showed master classes in basketwork, souvenir painting, jewelry and pottery. There was also a fair of unique souvenirs where you could see craftsmen’s works: unique natural wooden articles, pottery, baskets made of wicker, handmade jewelry. Special impression was made by the tasting of oak coffee from acorns with a nutty flavor – it is a forgotten useful drink, known since ancient times. All guests received bright emotions and unforgettable impressions.
This day, the reserve was visited by a large number of tourists not only from Tatarstan, but also from many other regions of Russia.
