On 21 April 2023, an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Bitunova Y. A. for 13 students of Bolgar secondary school № 1 gave a lecture on “History lives on the streets of our city”.
Each city has its own historical destiny, its own biography, which determine its character and appearance. Streets are mute witnesses and keepers of the history of our city, they can tell a lot of things to an interested person. Many streets are named in honor of writers and poets, communist figures, significant dates and holidays, heroes of the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars. To know about the people whose names the streets of cities are named after means to know the history and culture of the country where you live, to know its people.
Children took an active part in the conversation about their native city and learned about the people whose names the city streets bear.
