On April 20, 2023, an employee of the department of excursions of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Galimullina N. R. held for nine students of the 6th grade of Bolgar sanatorium-type residential school an event on “Cherished triangles” dedicated to the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
During the event, children heard some fragments of the frontline letters – messages from the past, which helped young listeners to understand the feelings of our compatriots in those distant harsh days. Even in the most desperate situations, soldiers found the strength to write touching letters to their loved ones, and years after the war, some lines still get to the heart. We can say that the front-line letters are priceless documents, testimonies about the Great Patriotic War, about the fortitude, courage and devotion of our soldiers to their Motherland.
At the end of the event, schoolchildren wrote letters of support for the soldiers who perform the service and combat tasks in the zone of the special military operation. Kids traditionally put the letters into triangles, as people did in the distant dreadful years of the Great Patriotic War.
