On April 19, 2023, for eight students of the 3rd grade of Bolgar sanatorium boarding school an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Rogachyova M. N. held an informational and entertaining event on “Bright Easter” dedicated to one of the main holidays of Christians – Easter.
Easter is one of the main Christian church holidays for believers in Russia and around the world. The celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord in Russia has its centuries-old traditions and customs. A huge number of interesting traditions, customs and rituals preserved to this day from ancient times characterizes the celebration of Easter in Russia.
During the event, schoolchildren got acquainted with the history of this holiday, with traditions and customs. Some of the children themselves told about this holiday, how they celebrate it in the family, read poems-congratulations, actively answered the questions of the thematic quiz and with great interest participated in folk games. In the end, all participants received sweet prizes and an Easter egg – a symbol of the Easter holiday.
