On April 17, 2023, in the creative studio “Territory of possibilities” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve within the project “Bolgar for Everyone”, which is implemented with funds from the “Tatneft” Charity Fund, three regular classes in art painting were held as planned for 6 students of grades 5-6 of Bolgar cadet boarding school and Bolgar secondary school № 2.
On this day, pupils began to learn stained glass painting. At first, they put an outline on a surface of glass, creating their own ornament of the future stained glass. Having finished their work, children left it to dry until the next lesson of painting with colored stained glass paints.
Then they tried another unusual way of painting on water in the technique of “Ebru”, which seemed to them very exciting, and each created their own unique drawing, which was later transferred to paper.
The third activity was stained glass painting in color. Kids diligently filled the space in the outline with paints. As a result, all had very bright pictures. The young artists were very happy with their first works and that they were able to master such a difficult painting technique.
