On March 23, 2023, an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Musina G. M. held a lecture on “Legends and fairy tales of Bolgar” for 6th grade students of Togliatti. Within the framework of the event, children took an unusual journey to the distant past, to the state that emerged and flourished on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan more than a thousand years ago.
The journey began with a tale of the ancient legend “Kubrat Khan and his sons”. Kids plunged into the world of history of the ancient times and became acquainted with the culture of Bulgars, learned about Islam, Muslim traditions and the revival of monuments of world culture in Tatarstan.
Children learned a lot of new and interesting things about the town of Bolgar as one of the major centers of trade and crafts known for its achievements in the field of construction and architecture, culture and art. Schoolchildren listened to the legends and tales of Ancient Bolgar, learned the history of Gabdrakhman’s well and the ancient lake of Rabiga.
At the end of the event, students shared their impressions of the beauty and grandeur of Bolgar Museum-Reserve.
