On March 10, 2023, an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Vagapov R. Z. held an information and cognitive lesson “Reflection of the first stage of the Tatars’ history in the national cuisine” for the students of Spassky College of sectoral technologies.
The purpose of this event was to show how the steppe nomadic stage of history of Tatar people was reflected in the national cuisine. At the lesson, participants learned about the peculiarities of the steppe cattle-breeding way of life and farming, became acquainted with the dishes of Tatar national cuisine, which originate from the steppe.
The students concluded that natural-climatic, geographical conditions and the form of farming impact on the formation of gastronomic preferences.
Two lectures were held for 42 participants.
