On March 10, 2023, a guide-lecturer of Bolgar Museum-Reserve D. O. Usmanova held an event on “Handicraft traditions of Volga Bulgaria” for 8 students of Bolgar Children’s School of Arts.
During the event, students learned about the craft traditions of Volga Bulgaria, national ornaments, drawings, leather craft, which Bulgar artisans mastered at the highest level, and listened to a legend about Bulgar warriors who wore boots.
At the end of the event, children learned how to make boots from scraps of leather with national ornaments, received positive emotions and a lot of vivid impressions.
