On March 9, 2023, a research associate of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Mukhamedov V. A. held an event on “Women’s Day” for the students of 8th grades of Bolgar secondary school № 2 to educate the younger generation about the history of this holiday.
International Women’s Day is a holiday that in itself is multifaceted. Of course, it is needed so that men can express their love and respect for women. It is also a symbol of women’s struggle for their rights in the difficult times of XIX-early XX centuries.
During the event, schoolchildren learned about the history of the International Women’s Day, its emergence, the status of women in different periods of human history, as well as the modern meaning of this holiday.
