On March 2, 2023, two regular classes were held in the creative studio “Territory of possibilities” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve under the project “Bolgar for Everyone” implemented with funds from the “Tatneft” charity fund. The lessons were conducted by the staff of the excursions department for eight students of grades 5-6 of Bolgar boarding school for children with disabilities.
On this day, on the site of the weaving workshop, children learned how to make Slavic dolls-talismans with their own hands, using pieces of fabric. At first, the craftswoman told about these dolls, what they were made for in ancient times, and showed how to make such a doll. Kids worked diligently helping each other. At the lesson of sand painting, children with great pleasure created their drawings.
At the end of the lesson, a mini-exhibition of children’s works was organized. In the creative studio, kids learn the traditions of the peoples of their country, different directions of arts and crafts, acquire certain skills, but most importantly, they learn how to be friends and help each other.
