On February 22, 2023, an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Musina G. M. held an information event on “There is such a profession – guide” for 10 students of Bolgar Children’s School of Art, dedicated to the World Guide Day.
Every year on February 21, many cities in the world celebrate the World Guide Day. It was established by the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations to raise awareness among the general public about the importance and significance of tour guides’ work. The Association was founded in 1985 at the first International Convention of Guides, and now it has over 2 million members from more than 70 countries around the world.
During the event, children expanded their knowledge about the profession of a tour guide, discussed the pros and cons of this specialty, played a game and visited a master class. At the end of the event, students took a virtual tour of Bolgar Museum-Reserve, which made them want to visit our museum and try to conduct a tour themselves.
