International Mother Language Day aims to protect endangered languages. All languages are equal because each of them is unique. There is only one state language in Russia – Russian.
During the event, students learned about the history of the holiday, the reasons for the disappearance of languages, and the Red Book of Russian people’s languages. Also, a conversation about the native language and Tatar writers was held with the children.
