On February 10, 2023, an exhibition “Along the roads of Afghanistan” opened on the exhibition platform of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization. It was devoted to the war in Afghanistan. On February 15, 2023 will be 34 years since the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. For us the Afghan war is history but every self-respecting person should know it because it is the history of our Motherland, our relatives and friends. Eleven Yunarmiya members from Bolgar sanatorium-type residential school were invited to the event.
The exhibition features pictures from the Afghan war, personal belongings of the soldier-internationalist Sharipov R.P., provided to the museum by our compatriots, participants in hostilities.
The exhibition introduced children to those who fought in Afghanistan, “told” about those who did not return from under the fire of the Afghan war, about the courage of our compatriots.
The memory of the fallen soldiers-internationalists will stay alive as long as we remember it.
