On January 26, 2023, an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Mukhamedov V. A. for 18 students of Bolgar secondary school held an event on “Unbroken Leningrad” dedicated to the day of lifting the blockade of Leningrad.
The Siege of Leningrad is one of the iconic events in the history of World War II. For several years, Leningrad was practically cut off from the mainland. Many died not only from bombardment and fighting, but also from hunger, especially during the very hard winter of 1941-1942. For the purpose of patriotic education of the younger generation, it is hard to find a more appropriate heroic time.
During the event, the guests learned the prehistory of the beginning of the Second World War, the course of military operations in the North-West direction, the beginning of the blockade of Leningrad, as well as subsequent events up to the breakthrough and lifting of the blockade.
