On January 20, 2023, employees of the museum-reserve invited students of the 5th and 6th grades of Bolgar boarding school for children with disabilities and the Cadet boarding school to classes at the creative studio “Territory of possibilities” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve within the project “Bolgar for Everyone” funded by the “Tatneft” Charity Fund. An introductory lesson was held for the new group of students, as well as the first two classes were conducted at the craft sites of pottery and glass painting.
At the lesson of glass painting, the master introduced the technique of work, showed how to work with acrylic paints on glass, and children diligently painted cups to get a beautiful picture. On the pottery area, the students tried working with clay for the first time. They watched very carefully the work of the master and those who sat at the potter’s wheel, and with the help of the master tried to make their first pot. Children were pleased with their work and expressed a wish to come to the next lessons. Such activities are necessary for children to gain knowledge and first experience in various types of arts and crafts, which will contribute to the development of their creative abilities. At the end of the class, the museum staff conducted a brief tour of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization.
