On January 13, 2023, an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve D. O. Usmanova conducted a museum lesson “Kul Gali is the founder of Tatar literature” for 13 students of Bolgar secondary school No. 1.
The purpose of the lesson was the study of culture of Volga Bulgaria, acquaintance with the works of the founder of Tatar written literature and his main work “The tale of Yusuf”.
During the museum lesson, children learned about a poet Kul Gali and became acquainted with his poem “The tale of Yusuf” based on the idea of struggle between good and evil. This poem tells about love, loyalty and justice. At the event, students shared their impressions of the poem and the issues it raises, which remain relevant today. At the end, children received sweet treats.
