On January 5, 2023, more than 100 children from the Republican intellectual-psychological camp “Territory of We” visited Bolgar Museum-Reserve. Children were offered a tour of the museums where they learned about the unique history of Bulgarian civilization, the history of Bolgar, saw the northernmost monuments of Muslim medieval architecture – the Cathedral Mosque, Northern and Eastern Mausoleums, Khan’s Palace, the Eastern Chamber etc. At the interactive platform “New Year workshop of Khanbike”, historical characters met children and offered them to plunge into the distant past of our town with the help of artisans. The guests enjoyed taking part in master classes on pottery, making a doll and a Christmas toy.
This is not the first year that vacationers from the camp “Territory of We” have visited Bolgar Museum-Reserve during the winter shift and have left positive feedback on the organization and excursions conducted by the museum staff.
