From January 2 to 5, Bolgar Museum-Reserve traditionally welcomed all guests with a theatrical performance “Meeting at the Christmas tree”. The participants were guests from different parts of Russia: St. Petersburg, Moscow, Samara, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Kazan and Volgograd.
The main New Year’s magician Ded Moroz with his granddaughter Snow Maiden held competitions, games and taught to dance the national Tatar dance to incendiary New Year’s music. Both adults and children read New Year rhymes, sang New Year songs and, in accordance with tradition, danced around the Christmas tree. At the gastronomic site “Bolgar tea party”, guests tasted herbal tea and pancakes baked on a fire. In the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization at the interactive site “New Year’s workshop of Khanbike”, visitors participated in workshops on pottery, making dolls, amulets and Christmas toys. With the help of skilled artisans, everyone could make a unique souvenir for themselves and their families.
Children and adults were able to plunge into the festive atmosphere of magic and give themselves a wonderful mood.
