On December 8, 2022, an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Bitunova Y.A. held a lecture on “We cherish the memory” for 13 students of Bolgar secondary school № 1.
The purpose of the lecture was to foster a sense of patriotism towards the homeland, pride for its heroic past, to expand the idea of heroism of our people during the Great Patriotic War, their courage and bravery. The war of 1941-1945 became the Great Patriotic War for the Soviet people who rallied in the face of the threat of enslavement and destruction. Heroism and courage of the soldiers and commanders of the Red Army and an unprecedented feat of labor of home front workers were the sources of victory. During the war, more than 225 natives of the republic received the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Five our fellow countrymen are among them.
Children listened attentively to the information about our compatriots – heroes of the Great Patriotic War and their heroic deeds, became acquainted with photos of heroes – natives of our district.
