On 2 November 2022, a staff member of the department of museum-educational activities of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Bitunova Yu. A. held an event on “In unity is our strength” for the students of Lyceum № 60 of Togliatti. The event was devoted to the National Unity Day.
On November 4, the state holiday – National Unity Day is celebrated in Russia. This day has a special place in the history of our country; it is associated with crucial events of the Russian state. The year 1612 is considered its main date of birth, when Minin and Pozharsky organized people to defend Moscow and whole Russian land from the Polish invaders.
The event was attended by 20 people. Children learned information about the significant pages of national history, when patriotism and citizenship helped our people to unite and protect the country from invaders, to overcome periods of powerlessness, and to strengthen the Russian state. A quiz was held for the participants to consolidate the knowledge gained.
The event was an opportunity to remind that the unity of the people at all times has been and remains the main national idea of Russia, the guarantee of its worthy future.
