On 27 September 2022, staff members of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Ahundov N. O. and Vagapov R. Z. held an event on “And history will come to life…” for the students of the 13th residential school of Nizhnekamsk. The activity was devoted to World Tourism Day.
The guests of Ancient town became acquainted with its history, its preserved architectural monuments, museums, mosques and nature. Walking through the streets, where hundreds of years ago life was boiling, tourists guessed what kind of structure is preserved and located in front of them. In the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, famous historical characters, such as Almush Khan, Peter the Great and Catherine II, were brought to life in a theatrical performance. They told about many interesting historical facts: the adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgars in 922, the Decree of Peter the Great on the protection of Bolgar monuments, the letter of Catherine II to Count Panin about Bolgar ruins. The participants of the event listened to their stories, communicated, asked questions and, of course, took pictures.
